Warm, Modern Kitchen & Scullery Transformation | Harrisburg, PA

This extensive Harrisburg renovation transformed a dated Tuscan-style kitchen and adjoining spaces into a bright, warm and highly functional heart of the home designed around the way this family cooks, entertains and lives.

The kitchen was completely reimagined with a more open layout, an expansive island for prep, dining and gathering, professional-style appliances, layered lighting and a sophisticated mix of soft white, muted green and natural wood cabinetry. Thoughtful storage solutions and specialized interior accessories maximize function while maintaining the clean, tailored appearance of the finished space.

One of the most significant changes was converting the former dining room into a dedicated scullery. Floor-to-ceiling storage dramatically increased pantry capacity, while a secondary sink, dishwasher drawers, pull-out waste storage and additional work surfaces allow cleanup and behind-the-scenes prep to happen outside the main kitchen — especially valuable when entertaining.

The renovation extended beyond the kitchen and scullery to include the powder room, foyer and updates to the adjoining family room, creating a more cohesive transition throughout the first floor. A television that doubles as artwork when not in use was incorporated so the kitchen could remain beautiful while still supporting everyday family life.
