Entertainer’s Kitchen with Integrated Frame TV | Harrisburg, PA

This extensive Harrisburg renovation transformed a dated Tuscan-style kitchen and adjoining spaces into a bright, warm and highly functional heart of the home designed around the way this family cooks, entertains and lives.

The kitchen was completely reimagined with a more open layout, an expansive island for prep, dining and gathering, professional-style appliances, layered lighting and a sophisticated mix of soft white, muted green and natural wood cabinetry. Thoughtful storage solutions and specialized interior accessories maximize function while maintaining the clean, tailored appearance of the finished space.

One of the most significant changes was converting the former dining room into a dedicated scullery. Floor-to-ceiling storage dramatically increased pantry capacity, while a secondary sink, dishwasher drawers, pull-out waste storage and additional work surfaces allow cleanup and behind-the-scenes prep to happen outside the main kitchen — especially valuable when entertaining.

The renovation extended beyond the kitchen and scullery to include the powder room, foyer and updates to the adjoining family room, creating a more cohesive transition throughout the first floor. A television that doubles as artwork when not in use was incorporated so the kitchen could remain beautiful while still supporting everyday family life.

Designed for homeowners who love to cook and entertain, the finished space balances serious functionality with warmth and personality — providing room to prep, cook, serve, gather and enjoy time with family and friends.

Arched Blue Wet Room with Walk-In Shower & Bench | Harrisburg, PA

This Harrisburg, Pennsylvania primary bathroom remodel transformed a neutral, compartmentalized space into a bold, spa-inspired retreat tailored to the homeowners’ routines and personal style.

A dramatic arched opening leads into an expansive wet room featuring a freestanding soaking tub, spacious shower, integrated bench, layered shower system and a new clerestory window that brings additional natural light into the space while maintaining privacy. Rich cobalt-blue tile wraps the wet-room walls, while warm brushed-gold fixtures and accessories create a striking contrast.

Outside the wet room, the double vanity provides generous countertop space and thoughtfully designed storage, including organized drawers and pull-out cabinetry. Illuminated mirrors, light surfaces and crisp flooring balance the saturated blue palette and keep the room feeling bright and open. The finished space combines beauty, comfort, personalized storage and effortless function in a truly one-of-a-kind primary bath.

Custom Window Seat & Movable Dining Table | Harrisburg, PA

This award-winning Harrisburg kitchen renovation transformed a relatively small existing kitchen into an expansive, highly functional space by reimagining how the home's available square footage could be used. The original kitchen occupied only about one-third of the footprint that ultimately became the new kitchen, creating an opportunity for a dramatic redesign.

By expanding beyond the original kitchen boundaries, I was able to create distinct zones for cooking, preparation, cleanup, storage, casual dining and entertaining while maintaining comfortable circulation throughout the much larger space. Multiple work surfaces and islands provide generous prep and gathering areas, while extensive cabinetry dramatically increases storage.

The design balances crisp painted cabinetry with warm wood tones, natural stone countertops and rich hardwood flooring. A custom window seat surrounded by cabinetry transforms the large window into both a comfortable gathering spot and additional storage, helping the expanded kitchen feel inviting rather than simply oversized.

Thoughtful appliance placement, specialized storage and carefully planned work zones allow the kitchen to function efficiently for everyday use while providing ample room for family and guests.

This kitchen received First Place in the Medium Kitchens category of the 2017 NKBA Susquehanna Valley Chapter Design Competition, recognizing the space planning, functionality and overall design of the completed renovation.

The finished kitchen demonstrates how reconsidering the boundaries of an existing room can completely change the way a home functions — creating a space that feels as though it was always meant to be there.

Harrisburg, PA Spa-calm, Age-ready, & Storage Smart Bathroom Remodel

Designed with both today and tomorrow in mind, this primary bathroom combines a calm, spa-like atmosphere with thoughtful age-ready features and smart storage. A curbless, low-threshold shower, wider clearances, comfort-height fixtures, and concealed blocking for future grab bars were intentionally incorporated to support long-term comfort, safety, and accessibility without giving the space an institutional feel. A spacious double vanity provides abundant storage and dedicated space for each homeowner, while illuminated mirrors, clean-lined fixtures, and soothing finishes create a serene, sophisticated retreat. The result is a beautiful bathroom designed for everyday comfort now, with thoughtful features that can continue to serve the homeowners well for years to come.

Spa-Calm, Age-Ready & Storage-Smart Bathroom Remodel in Harrisburg, PA

Harrisburg, PA Full Basement

What began as a completely unfinished walk-out basement with concrete floors and cinder-block walls was transformed into a fully designed extension of the home. Every area was thoughtfully planned to maximize both function and enjoyment, creating spaces for entertaining, relaxing, exercising, overnight guests, and everyday family life.

The finished basement features a custom bar and entertaining area with extensive cabinetry, seating, beverage storage, a dramatic brick feature wall and linear fireplace; a comfortable media area with a custom built-in fireplace and television surround; a full bathroom with a spacious glass-enclosed shower and sauna; an exercise room; guest bedroom; and additional flexible family spaces. Architectural details including decorative ceiling treatments, integrated lighting, exposed wood beams, custom millwork, and a sliding barn door give each area its own character while maintaining a cohesive design throughout.

One of the most unique elements is a secret children's hideout designed beneath the staircase. Rather than allowing the normally unused space below the stairs to go to waste, it was finished and expanded into a portion of the adjoining unfinished storage area to create a hidden play space. The entrance is cleverly concealed behind a Murphy Door bookcase, turning a practical space-planning solution into an unexpected and memorable feature of the home.

From the original bare shell to the finished living spaces, every part of the basement was intentionally designed to make the lower level feel like a natural continuation of the home rather than an afterthought.

Harrisburg Kitchen Remodel in the Historic District

1st Place Award-Winning Kitchen – NKBA Susquehanna Valley Chapter Design Competition

Located in Harrisburg's historic district, this project called for thoughtful updates that would improve functionality and introduce a fresh, timeless aesthetic while remaining respectful of the character of the home.

The centerpiece of the renovation was the kitchen, where careful space planning transformed a compact layout into a highly functional and inviting gathering space. Crisp white cabinetry, marble countertops, a farmhouse sink and thoughtfully integrated appliances create a light, classic look that feels appropriate to the home's architecture. Every inch was carefully considered to maximize storage and function within the existing footprint.

The completed kitchen earned 1st Place in the NKBA Susquehanna Valley Chapter Design Competition, recognizing both the design and creative use of the space.

The project extended beyond the kitchen into a compact bathroom, where maximizing function was equally important. A walk-in shower, custom vanity and carefully planned storage make efficient use of the limited footprint. White subway tile provides a timeless backdrop, while marble herringbone mosaic adds texture and character to the shower floor and recessed niches.

That same marble mosaic was carried into the home's fireplace hearth, creating a subtle visual connection between spaces and helping the updates feel cohesive throughout the home.

Award-Winning Historic Home Transformation | Harrisburg, PA

Modern Farmhouse Palmyra, PA

This Palmyra kitchen renovation began with an opportunity to rethink how a large existing space was being used. Although the room was generous in size, only about half functioned as the kitchen while the other half was dedicated to a dining table — despite the home already having a formal dining room directly adjacent to the space.

Rather than simply replacing the existing kitchen, I redesigned the entire room to take advantage of its full footprint. Expanding the cabinetry, countertops and work zones created a spacious, highly functional kitchen with significantly more storage and room for cooking, prep and entertaining.

To preserve the casual eat-in kitchen experience, I incorporated a built-in bench seat with additional concealed storage, along with seating at the island. This allowed the homeowners to gain a much larger kitchen without sacrificing the comfortable everyday gathering space they enjoyed.

The modern farmhouse design combines soft painted cabinetry with rich wood accents, contrasting countertops, custom storage solutions and carefully planned appliance placement. Specialty cabinetry and interior accessories make use of every available inch while keeping frequently used items organized and accessible.

The renovation also extended into the home's entryway and mudroom, where custom cabinetry provides practical everyday storage. A frosted-glass pocket door was incorporated between the spaces, allowing light to pass through while providing separation and privacy when desired.

The result is a kitchen that makes dramatically better use of the home's existing square footage — combining generous work and storage areas, casual seating and thoughtful architectural details into a space designed around how the homeowners actually live.

Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Reimagined | Palmyra, PA

Home Office

This custom home office was designed to make working from home feel organized, efficient and beautiful. Every inch was thoughtfully planned around the homeowner’s needs, combining generous workspace with specialized storage and a clean, tailored aesthetic.

Custom cabinetry provides a place for everything, including interior drawer organizers and a cleverly concealed roll-out shelf for the printer, tucked behind a cabinet door when not in use. Sliding doors along the upper wall cabinetry keep additional storage easily accessible while maintaining a streamlined appearance. Integrated LED task and accent lighting adds both functionality and warmth, highlighting the rich blue backdrop and natural wood cabinetry.

The result is a highly personalized workspace where technology, storage and everyday necessities can be easily accessed when needed—and neatly concealed when they’re not.

Blue & White Transitional Kitchen Remodel

1st Place Award-Winning Kitchen – NKBA Susquehanna Valley Chapter Design Competition

This kitchen transformation began by removing the wall that separated the original kitchen and dining room, allowing the two smaller spaces to become one open, light-filled kitchen designed for cooking, gathering and entertaining.

The expanded footprint made room for a substantial island with generous prep space, storage and seating while still preserving a dedicated dining table within the newly opened kitchen. Crisp white perimeter cabinetry is paired with a rich blue island, creating contrast and giving the large space a strong visual focal point. Warm metal pendant lighting, stone countertops and durable wood-look flooring complete the transitional palette.

Thoughtful cabinetry planning maximizes storage throughout the expanded kitchen, while the new layout dramatically improves circulation and connection between the cooking, dining and gathering areas.

Hershey, PA Farmhouse Remodel

Whole-Home Farmhouse Transformation | Hershey, PA

This whole-home renovation transformed a recently purchased property into a fresh, inviting farmhouse-inspired home designed with resale in mind. I was hired to provide the design direction and material selections for the renovation, helping create a cohesive look that carried throughout the home.

The transformation included the kitchen, bathrooms and adjoining living spaces, with updated cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring, fixtures, finishes and architectural details. In the kitchen, a contrasting island, farmhouse sink and classic tilework create a bright, functional centerpiece, while warm wood flooring and rustic details help connect the surrounding spaces.

Because the home was being renovated for resale, selections needed to strike an important balance — distinctive enough to give the property character while remaining timeless and broadly appealing to future homeowners. The result is a welcoming, cohesive home that feels thoughtfully designed rather than simply renovated.

Whole-Home Farmhouse Transformation | Hershey, PA

Chambers Hill Rd Double Kitchen Renovation - Upstairs Kitchen

This extensive renovation transformed a separate kitchen and dining room into one expansive, open-concept kitchen designed for everyday living and entertaining. By removing the wall between the two spaces, we were able to dramatically increase the kitchen's footprint and create a spacious new layout featuring painted cabinetry, two contrasting islands, abundant storage and generous work surfaces.

Rather than discarding the original cabinetry and countertops, we carefully repurposed them in the newly finished walk-out basement to create a second full kitchen conveniently located on the pool level — extending the life of the existing materials while adding tremendous functionality to the home.

The project also included a coordinating bar/mudroom area, creating additional storage and another functional transition space within the home. Together, the three areas demonstrate how thoughtful space planning can transform not just one room, but the way an entire home functions.

Expanded Kitchen & Added Pool-Level Kitchen Transformation | Harrisburg, PA

Mechanicsburg Kitchen, Painted and Stained Cabinetry in Harmony

A previously underused dining room was incorporated into the kitchen by removing the dividing wall, creating one expansive space designed around cooking, gathering and everyday living.

The new layout allowed for a dramatically larger kitchen with extensive cabinetry and countertop space, a dedicated coffee bar, and a multifunctional island that incorporates both casual seating and a custom dining-height table.

One of the most distinctive details is the countertop-mounted cabinet with antique glass doors. Designed as both a focal point and a subtle architectural divider, it visually separates the coffee bar from the main working kitchen while maintaining the openness of the newly expanded space.

A combination of painted and stained cabinetry adds warmth and dimension throughout the room, while thoughtful storage, integrated appliances and carefully planned work zones make the large kitchen highly functional without sacrificing its welcoming character.

The result is a kitchen that transformed an underutilized dining room into valuable living space while still providing the homeowners with a comfortable place to sit down and enjoy meals together.

White & Bright Kitchen Remodel Dillsburg, PA

This Dillsburg kitchen was transformed from a dark, traditional space into a bright, welcoming kitchen with a fresh, timeless feel. The original stained cabinetry, patterned finishes and visually divided layout made the kitchen feel heavier and more enclosed than its generous footprint suggested.

The redesigned space uses crisp white cabinetry, light countertops and a simplified material palette to completely change the way the room feels. Thoughtful cabinetry planning provides abundant storage while maintaining an open, uncluttered appearance, and the new island creates a comfortable gathering place for casual seating and everyday use.

One of my favorite elements is the cabinetry that visually connects the kitchen and adjoining spaces. Glass-front details, carefully planned storage and consistent finishes help the entire area feel intentional and cohesive rather than like a collection of separate zones.

The result is a kitchen that feels dramatically lighter and more spacious while remaining warm, functional and comfortable for everyday living.

Warm White & Wood Kitchen Remodel Harrisburg, PA

This warm, modern transitional kitchen balances crisp white cabinetry with natural wood tones to create a space that feels both sophisticated and inviting. A richly stained wood island anchors the room and provides generous workspace, storage, and a natural gathering place at the heart of the kitchen. Professional-grade stainless steel appliances, elegant white countertops, a custom wood range hood, and warm wood flooring bring function and character together beautifully. Thoughtfully planned for everyday living as well as entertaining, the finished kitchen offers an effortless flow, abundant functionality, and a timeless combination of finishes that feels right at home.

Showroom White Display

Designed as a custom showroom display during my time with Mother Hubbard’s Custom Cabinetry, this bar and wine storage feature was created to showcase how thoughtful cabinetry design can combine beautiful architectural detailing with unexpected functionality.

Crisp white cabinetry is paired with warm walnut accents, glass-front display cabinets and integrated wine storage to create a sophisticated, furniture-inspired focal point. Every detail was intentionally designed, including deceptively slim pull-out storage concealed within the column-like cabinetry at each end of the base cabinets—turning what appears to be decorative millwork into valuable functional storage.

This display reflects one of the principles I continue to bring to my designs today: looking beyond the obvious use of a space to find opportunities for storage, function and beautiful details that feel completely integrated into the finished design.
